Each year the Police Authority sets targets for the police based on the publics' priorities along with those set by the Government. This committee has responsibility for scrutinising the progress being made by the Force to achieve these priorities during the year. Should an area of policing fall below the expected levels of service, this committee will ask for urgent improvement action to be taken and reported upon.

The corporate governance committee is responsible for ensuring that the Authority undertakes its role in an effective way having regard to the appropriate legislation. It is responsible for ensuring what the authority’s constitution is kept up to date and relevant. It is also responsible for ensuring that the authority has the necessary processes in place to undertake risk assessment.

What is a Webcast?

A webcast is a transmission of audio and video over the internet.  Through the use of your internet connection (either broadband or via a dial-up modem) and a ‘video player software’ you can view the meetings live from the comfort of your own home on your PC or Apple Mac.
